Latest Updates from Our Project:

All Packages Sent!
5 months ago – Thu, Jan 07, 2021 at 12:00:18 AM

Hey everybody! Wanted to do an update here to let you all know that as of last week ALL packages have been put into the postal system and sent. Due to all packages coming from the US, expect things to be slow. Our postal system has been very overloaded and is still recovering from the holiday season, unfortunately.

This goes double if you're outside the US; I have a Christmas card from a friend in the UK that only just got to me yesterday, and I expect international packages will still be taking ages. Everybody's packages were sent out in waves based on their contents, not their destination, so if you had a lot of things in your order it's likely it'll be arriving a bit later than some others.

So! If you're from outside the US and wondering where your order is, it's likely still tied up in post office hell if your tracking hasn't updated at all. Even if you're in the US and your tracking hasn't updated, it's likely for the same reason.

Thank you all for your patience through this! If you're still experiencing issues past when it seems reasonable please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll be happy to help you sort it out.

Otherwise, I hope you enjoy your cards when they arrive!

Shipping Has Begun!
6 months ago – Thu, Dec 17, 2020 at 11:21:45 PM

Some of you received emails yesterday indicating that your shipping label has been generated. I’m doing things in batches and with almost 750 orders it’s gonna be a hot minute, but the work has begun! I’ll be a little hard to reach until it’s all done, but hopefully we can get everything squared away quickly.

Stay safe out there, and I hope your cards get to you safe and sound!

Arriving Soon; Last Minute Address Changes
6 months ago – Wed, Dec 16, 2020 at 03:36:58 PM

All right everybody, as far as I know the cards should be getting to me tomorrow, if not this week in general! As soon as they arrive, I'll be hunkering down to start getting things packed up and ready to go.

So, what does this mean? Well, if you've got a last minute address change that needs to happen, message me ASAP and I'll unlock your order for you so you can adjust. Otherwise, you're locked in, and we'll be ready to go!

I'm excited to finally get these sent out to you, and I'm doubtful of them arriving in time for Christmas, but I hope they won't be too far off!

Thanks again for all your patience everybody, the wait is over soon!

Still on Track for the 16th
6 months ago – Wed, Dec 09, 2020 at 10:51:19 PM

Hey everybody!

I saw some of you had requested updates on this, and just wanted to let you all know you haven't been forgotten! As far as I know, we're still on track to receive everything on the 16th and start shipping pretty much as soon as that drops. If that date changes, either because it's earlier or later, I'll let you all know. There's nothing else to really report on until it gets here, so sorry there's nothing more significant.

Hope you're all staying healthy and safe out there, see you soon!

Further Shipping Delays
8 months ago – Thu, Nov 05, 2020 at 12:36:35 AM

I'm so sorry everybody, I just got an update from the printer about the estimated arrival of the decks and due to how slow their shipping method is (ocean freight), the decks will apparently be arriving to me now in mid December. I had hoped that everybody's things would arrive in time for the holidays, but that doesn't seem as likely anymore, and for that I apologize. :( We have a rough estimate of December 16th being the day they arrive to me, and I plan to get as much sent out on that day as possible, but the holiday rush will be in full swing by then so I can't guarantee things will arrive in time for Christmas unfortunately.

I hope this delay won't put too much of a damper on your excitement for these cards, having seen the sample in person they're really undeniably gorgeous and I'm positive you'll enjoy them, even if you happen to be somebody who backed the previous version. If you have any issues that come up from this delay and need these to be shipped to another address or anything like that, please don't hesitate to direct message me, and I'll get that taken care of for you.

To tide you all over as we wait patiently for this boat to move as fast as possible, I managed to grab the samples from my parents' place the other day and I brought a copy of the original run with me. I snagged some comparison photos of the two, and I think you'll see just how striking the difference is! The new version you'll all be getting will be shown on the left of all these photos, and the original run will be on the right. (The original run copy shown here is a sample I was bringing to my conventions and has seen better days after being handled by many hands so don't judge it too harshly lol)

Deckbox fronts. Current version left, previous version right.
Deckbox backs. Current version left, previous version right.
Card backs. Current version left, previous version right.
Gilded edges. Current version left, previous version right. Incredible difference!

Really cool, right? The box printing is much more matte than the original (which is also supposed to be matte!), and the cardstock used to make it s already much more sturdy. The card backs have that hint of bling now that's just so eye catching too, and really liven them up. What I'm really impressed by, however, are the gilded edges! They're so shiny and uniform, it feels like plastic when you run your fingers over them. There were some minor complaints about the gilding on the previous cards coming off and getting glitter everywhere, and I'm fairly certain that problem has been completely eliminated with the process the new printer uses. The card fronts are also much brighter and have a much sharper, clearer image as well. If you'd like to see any particular comparisons of card fronts, let me know and I can share them in another update in the future!

I hope you'll still be excited for this project of mine when it arrives, and that whether they're for yourself or for a loved one, they'll be enjoyed.

Thank you again for all your patience, it's much appreciated in these times.
